Gymnasium
The Providence Academy Gymnasium is the home of Lions basketball and volleyball, providing a high-level competitive environment that reflects the excellence and tradition of the school’s athletic programs. Featuring a full-size hardwood court, elevated spectator seating, and bold “Lions” lettering across the bleachers, the gym creates an energetic and unified game-day atmosphere for student-athletes and fans alike.
Designed for multi-sport use, the facility supports varsity and junior varsity competition, youth programs, and school-wide events throughout the year. Bright overhead lighting, clear sightlines, and modern scorekeeping capabilities ensure an outstanding experience for both players and spectators.
Beyond competition, the gymnasium serves as a central gathering space for assemblies, pep rallies, and community celebrations, reinforcing Providence Academy’s commitment to developing excellence in mind, body, and spirit.
Mithun Field
Mithun Field is the primary outdoor and indoor athletic venue at Providence Academy, serving as a central gathering place for competition, community, and school spirit. The field is home to Providence Academy’s outdoor athletic programs and provides a high-quality setting for practices, games, and special events throughout the year.
Designed to support multi-sport use, Mithun Field reflects Providence Academy’s commitment to excellence in athletics, student development, and sportsmanship. With a layout that accommodates both athletes and spectators, the venue plays a key role in fostering a competitive yet community-centered environment.
Mithun Field was developed as part of Providence Academy’s continued growth and investment in its athletic facilities. Since its opening, the field has hosted countless games, practices, and school events, becoming an integral part of the Lions’ athletic tradition. It stands as a symbol of teamwork, dedication, and pride, supporting student-athletes as they compete at the conference and state levels.
Plymouth Ice Center
The Plymouth Ice Center (PIC) is the home rink for Providence Academy’s JV and Varsity hockey programs, providing a first-class environment for competition and player development. Located in Plymouth, Minnesota, the city-owned facility features three indoor ice sheets and is one of the busiest hockey arenas in the state.
Originally opened in 1997 through a pioneering public-private partnership, the PIC expanded in 2006–07 with the addition of a third rink. Today, the facility hosts youth, high school, and community hockey programs, including Providence Academy’s teams competing in Section 2A of the Minnesota State High School League.
Amenities include 16 locker rooms, spectator seating ranging from approximately 300 to 1,100 per rink, concessions, and meeting spaces. The Plymouth Ice Center is widely recognized for its role in developing local hockey talent and serving as a central hub for the Minnesota hockey community.
