Girls Basketball Coaching Staff
CONNOR GOETZ
Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
Connor Goetz has 11 years of coaching experience and currently serves as the Varsity Head Coach for Providence Academy Girls Basketball. He has previously coached at Minnetonka and Chaska, as well as with the Minnesota Fury AAU program.
Goetz has been named Section Coach of the Year four times and earned State Coach of the Year honors last season. Under his leadership, Providence Academy has won four consecutive State Championships and finished as the state runner-up in 2021. During the 2020 State Tournament, the team advanced to the semifinals and finished as state finalists.
Joey Batt
Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant
Joey Batt is in her first year of coaching after playing collegiate basketball at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is grateful for the opportunity to join Providence Academy as a Varsity Assistant and mentor student-athletes within a program built on excellence.
In her role, Batt focuses on developing players both on and off the court by building basketball skills, confidence, leadership, and accountability. She is committed to challenging and supporting each athlete while helping them grow into the best version of themselves.
Devon Knopke
JV Head Coach, Varsity Assistant
Devon Knopke brings prior experience coaching youth basketball and is in his first season coaching at the high school level and with girls basketball. In addition to his role at Providence Academy, Devon coaches AAU basketball in the spring. He currently serves as the JV Girls Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach.
Mason Talbot
Varsity and JV Assistant Coach
Mason Talbot is in his first year of coaching at Providence Academy, serving as both a Varsity and JV Assistant Coach. A 2021 graduate of Eastview High School, Mason played AAU basketball for Minnesota Select before earning his degree in Exercise Science in 2024.
In addition to coaching, he works as a basketball trainer at Pure Intensity Basketball in Lakeville. Mason is passionate about the game and dedicated to developing female student-athletes through skill development, film breakdown, and daily practice and game preparation.
