Olivia Peterson
Varsity Girls Dance Coach
Olivia Peterson is the varsity girls dance coach at Providence Academy. A graduate of Hopkins High School, she was a member of the dance team and trained extensively at Dance Arts Center. Passionate about developing confident, disciplined, and technically strong dancers, Peterson specializes in jazz, kick, contemporary, and lyrical, and has earned multiple choreography awards. As head coach, she leads practices, contributes to choreography, and fosters a positive team culture focused on technique, performance quality, and personal growth. Her goal is to create an environment where dancers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential both on and off the floor.
Colbi Carlson
Varsity Girls Dance Coach
Colbi Carlson is a coach with the Providence Academy dance program and brings a lifelong passion for dance to the team. She grew up as a competitive dancer and completed her high school dance career as a member of the Maple Grove Dance Team. After graduating, Carlson knew she wanted to stay connected to dance through coaching.
While attending college in Duluth, she gained coaching experience at multiple levels and quickly discovered a love for teaching and mentoring dancers. Now in her second season with Providence Academy, Carlson is proud to be part of a program that competed at the state level, performing at the Target Center. Inspired by the team’s talent and work ethic, she is excited about the continued growth and future of the program.
